Re:  ISPI San Antonio -  August 2007 Meeting Notice and News

MEETING NOTICE  ----- NOTE  DATE CHANGE -- 30 August -- 5th Thursday of August

Who/What:      Questionnaires versus Opinionnaires -  Group Discussion

This month’s meeting will center around a challenge made in the July 2007 Performance Improvement by Jay Alden to take both an quantitative and qualitative approach to measuring attitudes.  The author explores both how to do so and why.  According to Alden, while on the surface questionnaires and opinionnaires may seem similar, they are different and a performance technologist’s ability to effectively develop and apply both are useful tools of the performance trade.   What do you think about questionnaires and opinionnaires?  Have you used them and to what end?   I hope that those of you who are International members or subscribers will have a chance to review the article before we meet and help lead the discussion.   I would also like to encourage everyone to read the most recent issue of PeformanceXpress.  This publication  is free and a couple of the articles will come in handy as we plan a working meeting for our Chapter’s board.

Please note, that this month we are having our meeting on the 5th Thursday of the month.
