Re: ISPI San Antonio - July 2007 Meeting Notice
MEETING NOTICE REMINDER
Who/What: Lessons Learned…
(… and a few repeats). Over the course of a checkered career in the Peace Corps, advertising, product design and development, medical education, Aircraft engine manufacturing training, small business development, IRS education, and various consulting jobs, Mr. Jerry Haynes has acquired (sometimes painfully) a small amount of worldly wisdom which he proposes to share on Thursday evening, July 26th. On the cusp of retiring as Director of the IRS Compliance Alliance at the University of Texas at San Antonio on July 31st (but who's counting?), he will make suggestions of things to do and things to avoid based upon his experience in the field of humane performance improvement.
Jerry has a wide background in management of training and development, including high tech applications, distance learning and web-based training. He has broad experience in operational management and change technology with over thirty-four years experience in education including 22 years teaching at universities. He has also consulted internationally, published many articles, made numerous presentations at educational conferences, reviewed educational textbooks, written several grants and has been a featured speaker on many occasions in a variety of small business forums. He is a winner of the ‘1986 Company of the year award’, received a 1987 presidential citation for ‘partnership education’ from President George H. W. Bush, and is chair of the Association of Small Business Development Centers Regulatory Assistance Marketing Committee, working toward helping small businesses understand their regulatory requirements. Jerry is a 32 year veteran of ISPI and is proud of founding both the Boston and Cincinnati chapters of ISPI and of twice serving as the president of the founding chapter of ISPI in San Antonio.
