ICODAP’s specific mission is to promote the use of sound scientific methods and appropriate technologies to improve the world of work and the well being of the community in which it is located.  Rather than serving as a “management consultant”, ICODAP will serve as a “Community and Workplace Mentor.”  

ICODAP will conduct service projects that benefit the community both in immediate needs, such as helping low-tech and English-challenged job seekers find appropriate jobs, and in long-term needs by guiding the professional development of graduate students and establishing certification standards for professional occupational analysts.  

In addition to facilitating access to rare government research studies and private historical archives, ICODAP will sponsor conferences, conduct training seminars, perform original research, and openly publish new research findings in the forms such as web sites, technical reports, textbooks, and electronic journals to advance the state of the art and science in Occupational Analysis and related fields.  

ICODAP will become a Center of Excellence and promote public service programs to educate the community, employers, industry, and governmental agencies about workplace issues and break the historical time lag between pure research endeavors and the realization of its benefits in community programs.
